For your own account, we are the data controller: we decide what is needed to give you an account, take a payment and keep the service running.

For the addresses inside the lists you upload, you are the controller and we act on your instructions as your processor. You decide which addresses to check and why you are allowed to hold them; we produce the result and hand it back to you.

Account data: your name, email address, and password (stored hashed). Usage data: verification jobs you run, credit balance, and standard server logs. Payment data is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.

Uploaded lists are the most sensitive data we hold, and they are treated as yours. We process the addresses only to produce verification results for you. We never sell them, never share them with anyone for their own use, never merge them into a shared marketing database, and never send mail to them. Verification contacts the receiving mail server the same way a normal delivery attempt would, without sending a message.

We process account and usage data to perform the contract you enter into when you create an account, and because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, preventing abuse and improving how accurate our results are.

We keep records of payments because accounting and tax law require it. Where the law asks for your consent, we ask for it separately and you can take it back at any time.

Verification results stay in your account so you can re-download them. You can ask us to delete specific lists, results, or your entire account at any time by emailing us; deletion is completed within 30 days. Backups age out on a rolling schedule after that.

Account data is kept for as long as your account is open. Records of payments are kept for as long as accounting and tax law require, which is longer than the account itself. Server logs are kept for a short period and then discarded.

We use a small set of processors to run the service: Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email such as verification and password reset), Cloudflare (storage of the files you upload and of profile images), Google (website analytics) and our hosting provider in the EU (servers and backups). Each receives only what it needs for its role, and none of them is allowed to use it for anything of their own.

Our servers are in the European Union. Some of the processors above are established outside the EU and the United Kingdom, so a transfer can happen when they act for us. Where that is the case we rely on the safeguards the law provides for such transfers, including the standard contractual clauses, and we only work with providers that offer them.

We use session cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your theme preference. These are needed for the service to work and are set without asking.

We also use Google Analytics to count which pages people read and where visits come from. It is analytics, not advertising, and its advertising signals are switched off. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga) to tell one visit from the next. If you would rather not be counted, Google's opt-out browser add-on turns it off on every site.

We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell what the numbers say.

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and KVKK), you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, you can ask for a copy in a portable form, and you can object to or restrict processing. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner's Office, and in the European Union it is the authority in the country you live in.
